    FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Q: When does Austin Properties do the property inspections and what are they looking for?
  • A: Once a month.

  • Q: How do you report a street light out?
  • A: Try to get the number on the pole or the address it is in front of and call.

  • Q: Does the leash law apply to pets in our subdivision?
  • A: Yes, the leash law is a Texas law. It applies to all subdivisions in our state. If your pet is out of your yard, it requires a leash. And, yes, it also applies to cats. You can be fined for having an unleashed pet outside the premises of your yard.

  • Q: I want to add onto my home, make modifications to my yard or house, or put up a permanent structure. Who do I need to contact for approval?
  • A: Download the form or call the management company so they can fax or mail you an architectural request form that must be submitted before any work is done to the exterior of your home that can be seen from the street. The form must be completed in detail and is self explanatory.

  • Q: Are "pocket bikes", mini bikes, etc., permitted on our streets?
  • A: No.Nor are they permitted on sidewalks or any common areas, such as parks. This is a Texas law.

  • Q: Does the newsletter accept advertising?
  • A: Yes. Business size is $20 per issue, 4 issues a year. Ad must be camera-ready or an additional fee will apply. Contact Barlisa@pdq.net.
